Music fest will be ‘a celebration of unity, culture, soulful sounds’
NORTH MIAMI–Grammy Award winner Anthony Hamilton and R&B musicians Carl Thomas, Michel’le and the Levert Experience will highlight the NoMi Music Festival on Feb. 22.
The five-hour festival begins at 6 p.m. at Cagni Park, 13498 NE Eighth Ave. in North Miami, and will include live music as well as local cuisine and artisan vendors.
“This year’s NoMi Music Fest is a celebration of unity, culture and the soulful sounds that bring us all together,” said North Miami Mayor Alix Desulme in a North Miami press release. “It’s not just about the music; it’s about creating a space where we can celebrate our shared heritage and continue to make a positive impact on the lives of North Miami residents.”
This annual event, initially called “Music in the Plaza” and taking place each February since 2016, has become a cornerstone occurrence in North Miami. Proceeds benefit the city’s Emergency Utility Bills Assistance program, which assists residents who struggle to pay their utility bills.
Festival-goers are encouraged to bring their blankets, lawn chairs and dancing shoes to the event.
Tickets range from $50 to $150. For more information and tickets, go to: www.NoMiFest.com
